Easter Practice Expedition 2012 Announced - Sign Up Now!
The society is pleased to announce that our Easter expedition will run from 19 - 22 March 2012 in Snowdonia. Participants will have the chance to complete a Gold Practice expedition in preparation for a summer Qualfier expedition. The deadline for sign up is midnight 15 January. Read more...

Committee Officers for 2011/12 announced
The new committee for 2011/12 has been announced. Doug Hull will continue his role as President. Laura Burrows will take up the role of Memebership Secretary. Bethan Gudgeon that of Treasurer; and Rebecca Howard that of Junior Expeditions Officer. James Berry will retain his role as Senior Expeditions Officer; as will Simon Herzberg as IT Officer.
The outgoing committee of 2010/11 wish them all the best for the new year.
Society gets new kit for 2012
To supplement our stock of tents, the Society has recently purchased a new Vango Banshee 200! With its sturdy design it's suitable for all weathers, and the porch area means you can cook without getting wet on a rainy day which is always nice! Weighing in at under 2kg, very compact when packed away, and quick and easy to put up and take down, this tent is ideal for short expeditions and should serve us well over the coming years.
